Patrick J. Lavelle, Trustee

Mr. Lavelle is a Corporate Director and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Patrick J. Lavelle & Associates, a strategic management consulting firm. From November 2000 until March 2002, Mr. Lavelle was also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Unique Broadband Systems Inc. From January 1,1998 until December 2001, he served, by appointment of the Prime Minister of Canada, as Chairman of Export Development Canada and prior thereto was Chairman of Business Development Corporation. His appointments in public service have included Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Technology for the Province of Ontario and Agent General for the Government of Ontario in Paris, France. A director of a number of public and private Canadian and United States companies, Mr. Lavelle has recently been appointed to chair a corporate governance program at York University, Toronto, Ontario.
